A Secretaria de Estado de Meio Ambiente e Sustentabilidade (Semas) promoveu nesta semana mais uma etapa do Curso de Capacitação de Agentes Ambientais, na Usina da Paz de Canaã dos Carajás, município da região Sudeste. Com início das aulas na última terça-feira (18), o curso se estendeu até esta quinta (21), certificando todos os 19 concluintes.
Os adolescentes são alunos da Escola de Ensino Fundamental Maria de Lourdes Rocha Rodrigues. O curso foi ministrado pelos técnicos da Coordenadoria de Educação Ambiental (Ceam), Tanice Aguiar, Izabele Carvalho e Moisés Vasconcelos. Durante os quatro dias de capacitação foram debatidos temas como o Conceito de meio ambiente; Noções básicas da questão ambiental; O que seria educação ambiental; Evolução do desenvolvimento sustentável e As transformações para sociedades sustentáveis da Agenda 21 à Agenda 2030.

Moisés Vasconcelos, assistente social e técnico em Gestão de Meio Ambiente da Semas, ressaltou a importância da "realização de atividades de cunho educativo que sensibilizem os
estudantes, primeiramente situando-os como agentes do meio ambiente, com responsabilidade sobre a sua preservação e/ou conservação. A partir disso torná-los multiplicadores dessa atitude é a nossa meta principal na formação de novos agentes ambientais”.
Ainda de acordo com Moisés Vasconcelos, esses debates fortalecidos entre os adolescentes da comunidade são relevantes, porque "eles são ótimos difusores de práticas e tendências, pondo os demais a refletir acerca de nossas atitudes em relação ao meio ambiente".
Cuidar do planeta - Para o estudante do 8° ano Aldair Santos, oportunidades como a proposta pela Semas, de aprender sobre o meio ambiente e práticas sustentáveis, melhoram a visão de mundo. “Esse curso é muito importante para a gente aprender mais sobre o nosso meio ambiente, para a gente saber mais como cuidar do nosso planeta. Eu estou gostando muito do curso, pois estou sendo muito bem auxiliado pelos profissionais. O meu objetivo também é estudar meio ambiente na Usina da Paz, para que possa ver um mundo melhor no meio ambiente, e que eu possa levar para a minha vida também”, disse Aldair.
A Usipaz de Canaã dos Carajás foi a sexta entregue pelo Governo do Pará, e assim como as demais oferta mais de 70 serviços à população, que vão desde procedimentos odontológicos até cursos e capacitações, como os realizados pela Semas.
